Lahloo is going to Feastival

We’re taking our loose-leaf tea on the road again! This time we’re taking Lahloo to the brand new event designed to inspire people (both young & old) to embrace a sustainable way of life. Hosted by Roger Saul‘s (founder of luxury brand, Mulberry) fabulous Sharpham Park in conjunction with Kilver Court and set in the beautiful grounds of Kilver Court, Feastival will be an interactive and fun event for all, aiming to raise awareness of sustainable ‘farm to fork living’.

There will be loads going on. Here’s a taster:

  • Hear talks about the environment, local wildlife and how to grow your own veg using organic rotation, along with ‘Waitrose Sow, Grow, Cook, Eat‘ initiative – an interactive area for children, linked to their sponsorship of the RHS Campaign for School Gardening.
  • Discover how to live, feel and look healthy and beautiful in a more sustainable, eco-friendly way. Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey, of the ‘Green Beauty Bible’ share “10 Ways to Be Naturally Gorgeous”.
  • Hot topic forums with Patrick Holden, Director of the Soil Association and Masterchef winner, Thomasina Miers
  • Fun, foodie activities like ‘Cheese Skittles’, local producers sampling and selling their produce and on Saturday enjoy the hustle and bustle of St Catherine’s Artisan Market!
  • Learn new culinary skills – farming, cooking, baking and butchery
  • And so much more.

If you feel like a really good day out and you want t o learn more about a sustainable way of life, come along!

Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th October 2009 @ Kilver Court (see a map) – £5.00 for adults / £2.00 for children (under 2’s free!)
